Our Attorneys and Staff

Lynwood Sanders graduated from LSU Law School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in 1957 and then moved to Orange.  He began his legal career examining real estate titles, and has remained heavily involved in real estate law.  Lynwood is licensed to practice law in all state courts in Texas and Louisiana, and is also licensed to practice law in the federal courts of East Texas and Western Louisiana, and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans, Louisiana.  His professional associations include the Texas Association of Bank Counsel and the Texas Association of Landmen. Lynwood has a solid history of public service and community involvement, including his leadership roles in the Orange Rotary Club and the Sabine Chapter of Ducks Unlimited.

Alan2Alan Sanders graduated first in his class from LSU Law School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in 1982 and returned to Orange to join his father’s law practice.  He began his legal career with an emphasis on commercial, financial and personal injury litigation, and later expanded into several non-lawsuit areas of law,  including representation of public and non-profit clients.  Alan is licensed to practice law in all state courts in Texas and Louisiana, and is also licensed to practice law in all federal courts in Texas and in Western Louisiana, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans, Louisiana, and the United States Supreme Court.  His professional associations include the Texas Association of Bank Counsel, membership in the Real Estate, Probate and Trust Section of the State Bar of Texas, and the Small Firm and Solo Practice Section of the Louisiana State Bar Association.  Alan has a solid history of public service and community involvement, including his leadership roles in the Orange Rotary Club, Greater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce, Orange Chapter of the American Red Cross, regional economic development and leadership development organizations, and the mental health - mental retardation service delivery system.

Jane Dyer has served as a Legal Assistant to Alan Sanders, beginning in 2005.  She is a previous employee of Orange County Abstract and Sabine Title Company.  Jane’s primary areas of responsibility relate to Alan’s real estate, probate, business law, lifetime and estate planning, and public/non-profit client matters.  Jane can be reached at (409) 883-7495, extension 14.
Nancy Decker has served as a Legal Assistant to Alan Sanders, beginning in 2006, following previous employment with a prominent law firm in Beaumont, Texas.  Nancy’s primary areas of responsibility relate to Alan’s creditors’ rights matters, such as foreclosures and collections.  Nancy can be reached at (409) 883-7495, extension 17.
